The story's concept was truly intriguing, but it was riddled with several inconsistencies that made it difficult to appreciate. The most significant issue was the unexplained resolution of how the protagonist dealt with the loss of her friend to vampires. Although it was brought up in the beginning, the story never revisited it, leaving it unresolved.
I found it hard to comprehend howAtrius, the MMC who was betrayed by the protagonist, could forgive her so easily. This was a crucial part of the book that took a while to unfold, so the sudden forgiveness felt like a major plot hole.
With that being said, the book was still enjoyable, particularly due to the protagonist's remarkable character development.
