I've been very vocal about how much Rick Riordan's books entertain and amaze me, and this book was no exception!

This third book as always is full of action but the unique thing I found was how many emotions it brought me, from love, joy, friendship to sadness, hopelessness and the scary thought of not knowing what was going to happen. I have to admit the most incredible thing that happened in The Mark of Athena was that
we got Percy and Annabeth back together! I almost melted when they saw each other and without caring if anyone was seeing them or that they were in the middle of a "battle" they just hugged and kissed each other. They are my OTP for life and I'd die for them. 😍

However, at the same time I loved how there were so many times where friendship was discussed, what it means to trust someone, what your role in a group of friends is and that you should discuss most of your choices with your team because they are the ones able to help you in your mission. I just love that dinamic and even though some characters are not my favorites I was still able to appreciate every single one of them in their own unique ways.

The story on itself hooked me because of how many new characters we got to know and also because we got to see a different side of characters we were already familiar with.
The craziness of Athena was so interesting to me, what a betrayed woman can turn into because of her need of revenge.
Also, some of the missions they had to do were almost impossible and I couldn't stop thinking how they could get out of them.

Moreover, I found this book much funnier than the rest of them which is weird considering all the stressful things going on. Every single character in this book made me laugh at least one time throughout it and that's saying a lot because I don't usually laugh with books.

And that heart-stopping ending left me speechless, I even screamed to Arin because she knew what was going to happen but she never warned me 😂. I'm so sad I have to wait until next month to have time to read The House of Hades.

Right now I'm so invested in this story and its characters that I just can't picture a world where they don't exist. I think they are living their lives in secrecy and someday I'll be able to meet them. Honestly taking, I don't think I'll be able to write coherent reviews from this book on, it'll just be me fangirling about the characters and I'm not ashamed of that 😂. Just know that if you haven't read this series yet, you should definitely give it a chance because you won't regret it.
