A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Type of read: Lunch/Weekend Read.
What made me pick it up: I started the ACOTAR series at the end of 2023 and I'm very excited to see what else is in store with the next installment.
Overall rating: If nothing else, the fact that this chonker of a book is nearly 700 pages and I finished it in a weekend - that we were traveling and adventuring nonetheless - should absolutely say how much I loved 'A Court of Mist and Fury.' The character development, the settings, the world-building, holy freaking crap. It's been a while since I've fallen this much in love with a fictional world and I'm absolutely so ready to dive into book 3. I really enjoyed that we got to learn more about Rhysand and the pacing and movement of the book felt like a good natural progression. Definitely set up book 3 of the series and I am more than alright with that.
Reader's Note: ACOTAR includes (very) mild sexual relationships and themes of war, abuse, torture, and murder.
