The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
5.0
Type of read: Weekend/Lunchtime Read.
What made me pick it up: The TN R.E.A.D.S challenge for June includes reading a book that won an award. 'The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian' was recommended to me by multiple people so it seemed like a great time to give it a try.
Overall rating: I was hooked from the first paragraph. There is a realness and vulnerability to Junior and his story that makes 'The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian' so freaking good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cartoons that were sprinkled throughout the book. I would 100% recommend this as a good read.
