Brilliantly written and emotionally challenging. Every teen should read this regardless of gender, regardless of whether or not they have experienced sexual assault. Actually, every human should read this once they are a teen or older. It infuriates me that people try to ban this book. To do so is to actively support rape culture, to actively contribute to the aftermath harm that victims experience.

This particular edition has an amazing afterword by Jason Reynolds that has made my respect for him blossom into love for both him and his mother who made certain her son understood his responsibility towards women and himself.
