The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame

3.0

Toad is literally one of the most vile and hateful creatures I have ever encountered in a book. He doesn't deserve to be as big of a part of the book as he is and rather they should have focused on Mole and Rat. Those two were, and don't fight me on this, the epitome of gay married husbands. They moved in together one day after meeting, and then spend the rest of their lives together in such domestic harmony. I really enjoyed seeing the care these two had for each other and the friendship they developed with the Badger. He was such a great character and person and with thr description of his house I really started to appreciate the descriptive nature of the story.
I could clearly picture the whole little world they all share and I enjoyed the vivid depiction of the change of seasons.
