3/5 — started slow and didn’t make up for it in the end.
this book took me FOREVER to read and just didn’t work for me. felt like too much random details thrown in the beginning without a satisfying ending to make them worth it. the ending was meh. i think the “finding out who did it” part was half okay, with the better half capturing the gloom of life on the farm. still! meh!
