Would you like to spiral about the pointlessness of our late capitalistic hellscape of a society? Or perhaps you'd like confirmation that you're not alone on this spiral. Or maybe you really just need a book with writing that is so scarily accurate at conveying the feeling of depression that you also become depressed (or feel seen because you're already depressed). Sometimes we just want to be miserable and this book achieves that feeling so well. This is a compliment btw.

This was definitely a cover buy for me because damn, just look at it. But I ended up really liking it. The writing was a real stand out, and I thought the definitions and lists felt authentic to the way Cassie viewed the world. It helped suck me into her mindset which is why I'm going to go lay down in the grass for a little while now.
