I honestly really enjoyed this... small spoiler, nothing specific mentioned:

...despite Thane's mistreatment of Catalina during the first part of the book (which in my opinion was never done with malice, but rather due to ignorance for the most part, and an inability to consider others due to personal trauma)

. I do think the book bit off more than it could chew, trying to deal with both Catalina's trauma and self-image, and Thane's trauma at the same time, within less than 200 pages. But all in all, I liked the story! I found their relationship sweet as it progressed, the smut was smutting, and I read the book in one sitting (kinda by accident), so the drive of the story was also good. Definitely need to get my hands on the rest of the series now!
