Het verloren symbool by Dan Brown
5.0
Before reading this book I read some reviews, and a lot of them are “bad”.
I think this kind of book is just not for everyone. I also read the previous books in the Robert Langdon-series, and it’s true: it’s all in the same format. Professor Langdon has to solve some kind of mystery that has to do with some ancient order and it’s a race against the clock.
But I LOVE this format. I really can’t get enough of it. I’m so intrigued and fascinated by all the mysteries and all the symbolism. I actually learn a lot from these books, because I look up so many things.
This book focuses on the free-masons and noetic science (which I never heard of). I really liked the story, the way they interpret/explain all kinds of things: paintings, artwork, the Bible and other religious symbols/books/...
I loved it.
