This book started out with instalove vibes but quickly morphed into a marriage of convenience trope. The writing–especially the way some characters did a 180–turned me off and gave throwback amateur Wattpad vibes. (Only thing missing was August Alsina or Dave East as a face claim on the cover.) I powered through and didn’t DNF because of the random parts that gagged me: 
“I was a firm believer in no child being left behind. Plus, my throat was the best daycare center out here.” - Skadi
