The Fire Never Goes Out: A Memoir in Pictures by ND Stevenson

A lot of the comics (particularly in the later chapters) were ones I'd already read on her blog, and it was kind of frustratingly vague (at least as far as memoirs go) about a lot of the mental health details, but overall I felt like reading it was a positive experience and I think a lot of young wlw will enjoy her story.

editing this later to say that given that this was published before he came out as nonbinary (any pronouns), i just think they were kind of jumping the gun on publishing a memoir and that this book would have been better and more coherent if she'd waited until they were ready to fully disclose a lot of things, because it feels rather clearly guarded. not a bad or immoral thing to be necessarily! but if you're CHOOSING to write a memoir it makes for a frustrating experience.
