The Day We Meet Again by Miranda Dickinson
5.0
I knew I would be in for a treat with this book as soon as I read the blurb little did I know I would also get lots of free holidays ! I mean it seriously this book takes you on holiday! I’ve been to Paris, Florence, Rome and the Isle of Mull all from the comfort of my sofa. The descriptions of the scenery, the food, the hosts will make you want to pack your suitcase and grab your passport.
This is very much a will they won’t they read and written from both perspectives in alternate chapters you follow their adventures as they spend a year apart. Sam searching for the father who walked out on him and his mother years ago and Phoebe on the search for herself.
This is pure comfort reading , it wraps its arms around you in a hug and doesn’t let go. It’s like an old friend who turns up at your door and you didn’t realise how much you had missed them. This is a story that will warm your heart and nourish your soul.
In the words of Phoebe “Maybe in the end we are all just stories waiting to be shared.”
