This book made me feel empty. The writing was so lyrical and captivating that I couldn't help but be drawn into it.  There was no answer as to why this happened, or what happened after. Just a hopeless tale of someone who probably would have been the side character in another story, which made it all the more impactful. The Memory Police was a great read, I just wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a story that will fill you with joy.
