This book is beautifully written with amazing prose and vivid descriptions.  Set in Tazmania with a supernatural twist, a place where myths, legends and magic are just under the surface of a normal life.  I was advised that I would enjoy this the best by going into this not knowing much.  However, that was very confusing to me, for the first half of this book the chapters are constantly switching characters, plots and POVs and it is not until the second half that you start to see the connections.  I think it is helpful to read the first half of this book like it is a set of short stories about various myths comes to life and then the second part as one interconnected story.
