Okay. So this is definitely a case of it’s-not-you-it’s-me.
I’m asexual. This book should have watered my plants, walked my dog, cured my headache. Except that it didn’t. The writing didn’t work. It was too much of feel-good, cuteness-overload story for me to handle. Sorry. I just wasn’t cut out to read those.
(It doesn’t help that I didn’t really feel represented by the MC. Again, definitely a case of my-asexuality-is-different, but I was bored from the fourth paragraph on.)
I don’t feel comfortable rating this, especially as I didn’t even read half of it, so let’s just leave it like this.
If you wanted to educate yourself a bit re: asexuality or are more patient than me, do check this out. The first four chapters should be enough to help you decide if you can stomach the story or not.
