Lily of the Valley by Sarah Daltry
5.0

If you have not read Forget Me Not - never fear. Lily of the Valley runs parallel, but from Jack's POV.
Jack has never felt wanted, needed or loved. Leaving the small town where everyone knows him and his past (mother dead, father in gaol), he works his butt off at school and the rest of the time at a local diner.
Then he meets Lily. He immediately pigeon holes her with all the other girls around school. Just another princess there on her daddy's money. He is ready to love her and leave her.
But there is something about her that draws him in, and he needs to know more about her.
Jack comes from a place of darkness. Lily is the light he is drawn to. Their relationship moves at warp speed, and is hot as hell!
I loved that we learned more about Jack's relationship with Alana, his best friend. She is the one he calls when his head is in a bad space. But it was worrying how quick she would be to follow him to that bad place.
Their relationship is very complicated, and they bring out both the best and worst in each other, ripping each others hearts out before putting them back in place. I have to say that I shed a couple of tears with some of their confrontations.
And then there is their friend Dave. I am hoping we get a book about Alana and Dave in the future!
Jack and Lily's relationship had some ups and downs, and do they get their HEA? For that you will have to read for yourself.
I gotta say that Jack, I would not kick you out of bed for leaving crumbs! A night with his toy box - who wouldn't want that!!
