ARC Review

This was an intense read. While it is omegaverse it has a serious women’s fiction feel. The romance is very subtle, most likely because the relationship developed in the Smooth Pack Duet. It follows the flow and feel of book 2 to me. With that said I found the story engaging and entertaining but because it was a little heavy and sort of almost action oriented it was entertaining but not in the way I was hoping or expecting. It was a good book, good writing, just the way it was done was unexpected. I wouldn’t say gripping because the vibe, the pace, the way the story is told kind of feels like a series of episodes. Especially if you’re a reader who seeing the events playing in your head like a movie. Getting the full picture of Freeya’s background was nice. I’m sort of torn. I can’t say I didn’t like it because I definitely did. Particular how Freeya got the kind of cathartic healing most victims deserve but will never get. I just got something I wasn’t expecting.
