Definitely one of my favorite podcasts! I’m currently listening to it for a second time. I have seen several reviewers criticize QCODE’s Borrasca for being gross and for “relyinf on shock factor.” These are definitely valid comments, but I think Borrasca is still very much worth listening to. It is advertised as being focused on a small town’s urban legend surrounding the dozens of girls who have gone missing throughout the past decade. As the story unravels, a much darker truth is revealed, reminding listeners that sometimes reality is even more terrifying than fiction. QCODE doesn’t give any super specific trigger/content warnings, but they do give general ones at the start of each episode. Detailed trigger/content warnings may spoil the narrative a bit, but I’ll be leaving some below for anyone who may be interested.

- adult language
- drug use
- alcohol consumption
- child predators
- general misogyny

Again, I think this podcast is definitely worth the listen! However, if you’re sensitive to any of the above topics I would advise against listening. Borrasca is not simply a story being retold, but an immersive experience including performances that could potentially be triggering.
