Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister
4.25
This was enjoyable from beginning to end. She set all the important pieces of the story really well, and she hit all the beats of the story at a pretty good pace for me. Although, I imagine some parts could feel a little dragged out to some people, especially if you’re looking for a thriller. This is a mystery, not a thriller, in my opinion. And as a mystery, it’s very compelling.
I liked that the story focuses on her relationship with her son and husband as well as the mystery. It made the story feel more emotionally tethered and well rounded. I loved that she included motherhood and the importance of our connection to other people as themes without overwhelming the story.
