The story spoke to me, but the writing style did not. I wanted so much more from the story than what was delivered. I wanted to be shown the great love, shown the hopeless raging against fate, and shown the devestation of losing the love. I was shown nothing, and told in a dry, matter-of-fact tone what I was supposed to think.
