Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly

emotional hopeful reflective sad medium-paced

4.0

I am an absolute sucker for a sports romance, so when I seen an opportunity to read Grace Reillys Wicked Serve, I couldn't pass it up.

Wicked Serve offers up a spicy, brothers rival romance, a set of protective brothers, and mental health representation that had me flipping pages all hours of the night.

College students Isabelle and Nikolai are the stars in Book 4 of Reillys Beyond The Play interconnecting series. Having not read any of this books predecessors, I was pleased to see that the author was able to successfully provide enough information about characters from the previous books, without giving away too much about their own stories. (They are all now currently on my read list!)

I really enjoyed that readers were not forced to watch the MCs loop in a circle of miscommunication, and while they often struggled to share their thoughts with one another, they always had each other's best interest in mind. I thought it was a fresh change to see that a 3rd act "shakeup" was not the result of a outrageous conflict , and while some may argue this fact, I think it aligned beautifully with the mental health journey the author created for her story.

I think this book is a great choice for fans of Elle Kennedys Off- Campus Series, or those who enjoy the found family and  vulnerable MMC tropes.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Grace Reilly for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
