Another of those “wow the last time I read this I had no critical thinking at all” books. And I still loved this one! Just in different ways. I was no longer baffled by the ending, for one, which was very nice. It doesn’t spell out the resolution of Howl’s curse–which was very frustrating the first time, but a delight this one, to see how Sophie in particular just absolutely missed it.

Howl and Chrestomanci should never meet but share similar taste in clothing, and also dramatics.
