I met the author at an event, and I must say this is an amazing book. The poetry in this book is just astounding and the author has a great use of narrative verse to tell the stories of black women. As a poet myself, this is what I aspire to be. I wish all the best for this author and will continue reading the rest of the books she publishes!!!
