I hated this book. I almost stopped reading it so many times, but didn't because it was the only book on my phone that I hadn't read at the time. I like this author, but this book in particular was obviously trying to hit a million "brownie point" characteristics in a way that felt super forced (Sunny's friend group- come on. Stop trying to normalize polyamory- ew).

Almost no character development for Sunny (she's so so flighty and annoying and lacked structure) or for Beckett (still in charge of everyone, no one around him can rely on themselves. Especially Sunny!! Saying that you can take charge of yourself doesn't mean that you can- the store issues pissed me off because they were SO preventable).

Loved Parker, and I loved Leary (his nephew is for sure getting a book).

Something that makes me mad, and is NEVER addressed in multiple of this author's books is how all of these (male) characters are comfortable leaving their high powered jobs for this stupid little town. First- women can have important jobs. Second- there is no way in hell that it wasn't a THOUGHT that Noah and Beckett would lose hundreds of thousands of dollars by moving back. Beckett can't realistically do his job on the same level from home (without an office??) and Noah just straight up left.

STOP MAKING THE FMC SUPER QUIRKY AND NOT THE MMC!!! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Kate Canterbary's MMCs aren't allowed to have flaws, and the FMCs have far too many post Walsh series. Boo.
