This was good, but nothing amazing for me. I loved the concept more than the exclusion. I found the overly flowery description frustrating rather than atmosphere building. The overly descriptive language just confused the scenes when listening via audiobook and when reading I found myself just skipping over full paragraphs, I wanted to enjoy the action, not spend 2 pages reading about dust motes in the air, the soil dark and damp of the walkway. At first, I thought that the chaotic writing style was to illustrate the chaotic unreliable narrator but if it was, it just didn't always work it was messy.
