This is my favorite novel so far in The Cousins War series.

It has been almost two years since I read the previous novel in this series, so I had a really hard time remembering who all the characters were. However, this book kept my interest the entire time. There were lots of highs and lows, and I thought the pacing was great throughout. This book definitely made me guilty of saying "Just one more chapter" numerous times before finally putting it down. :)

I loved it so much I immediately got the next book at the library and started it. And that's saying something as I typically went 2-3 years before picking up the next book in this series. I can't believe I started it back in 2009.
