very good, very gripping

pros:
- the writing is very good, balancing tension, love, drama and world-building
- very nice to see w/w rep
- it's gripping - you keep turning the pages once hooked
- the characters are well developed, from Lill to Blue to Aiko, and the romance felt pretty real

cons:
- i did find it fairly predictable. It plays into a lot of pre-established YA tropes, so when these "twists" happen, i wasn't surprised
- i liked Lei but i didn't adore her, idk why really. Maybe because she was too all over the place, she didn't plan.

it wasn't a new favorite, it felt too not-new for that (it reminded me of hunger games and other YA books in many ways), but there wasn't anything specifically wrong with it and i liked it a lot.
