What a sweet and touching book. Ifueko with this third novel makes it known that she will continue to tell the stories of those who are used and abused by the ones who should appreciate and protect them, aiding them in attaining their true potential through love and support.
Small Sade is the embodiment of many young girls whose story has been hijacked, changed by privileged hands that only seek further elevation through taking advantage of the vulnerable.
When she decides to stand for herself and push back to fight for her dreams, to use her voice to share her ideas; how satisfying it is to see. I loved seeing her form bonds with her fellow servants and how she is encouraged to see her worth by the Crocodile. But it is all up to her to take her future in her hands.
