Being somewhat unfamiliar with Catholicism, I frequently found myself looking up terminology. Some of the characters motivations were driven by their faith, and it was difficult to maintain immersion while googling basic Catholic doctrine. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the exposure to Nigerian culture and the interplay between unspoken and expressed emotion.
