Faith by Jennifer Haigh

This novel was excellent and read like a non-fiction book. It was told mostly from the perspective of the priest's sister, but so little was learned about her that it was almost like an omniscient narrator. While you don't learn much about the sister Sheila, that wasn't the core of the story and didn't feel lacking in any way. The other characters, particularly Art, are so rich.

Being raised Catholic, I appreciated the details that seemed more non-fiction in nature, and I'm sure the author did a lot of research on Catholicism, Boston, and the priest sex scandals. As a reader, I appreciated those details.

The family dynamics aspect was also well-drawn, and there was a thread of suspense about what really happened.

I really enjoyed this book. And I give it the 5th star for changing how I think about the world.
