I absolutely love Gothic Horror and The Hacienda definitely did not disappoint me. Beatriz marries to increase her family's social standing, but it is definitely not what she expects. After arriving at the Hacienda, she starts to hallucinate and hear voices, so Beatriz starts to wonder if the house is haunted by her husband's dead ex-wife, after all, no one will tell her how she died. This book is atmospheric and wonderful, if you love Mexican Gothic, then this book is for you!
