I Want Crazy is the second book in the Loco, Texas series. While this book could be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the first book Make Me Crazy since events from the first book are talked about again in this book. I had not read the first book and wish that I had so that I could have a better understanding of Red and his relationship with his best friends Jake and Rand.

There were so many things that I loved about this book. First, Jessie and Red started off not really liking each other which lead to some funny back and forth bickering/banter. As their relationship evolved that teasing banter only got better, which really set the book apart. I also really loved how the towns largest man could be such a teddy bear and gentleman when it came to Jessie.

This book was a quick read but did not skimp out in any details. Be reading for a few chuckles when you sit down to read this book.
