This was my first book by Jhumpa Lahiri. She has a way of writing that makes the characters real and relatable. But maybe part of that is because I can identify with being raised by one culture, while living in another.

Even though this was a collection of short stories, I found myself invested in each one. The last story especially made me angry. However, once I cooled down, I went and ordered all her other books from the library so I guess I’m a glutton for punishment!
