Kai Mori, the man that you are! I am in love.

I definitely liked this book more than Corrupt, and I have the biggest crush on Kai. And Banks too, she was so freaking awesome. I like that she wasn’t your usual fmc but didn’t have a “I’m not like other girls” attitude about it. She was very self-conscious but still wouldn’t take shit from anyone (except Damon but I understand). 

I liked every aspect of her relationship with Kai. Their little meet-cute in the confessional that became full-circle later on in a really spicy scene. Their Devil’s Night together. He was just always down so bad for her and she made him work for it, as she should’ve.

Although I really like Rika, I kind of loved when Banks beat the shit out of her and got jealous about the threesome with Kai. Like I totally get it, girl, same.

I also thought this book was a little bit darker than Corrupt. For some reason I’m not getting “dark” romance vibes. I really must be jaded from the stuff I read. I think Damon’s book will definitely be darker.

Ugh, Damon. And Will. I love them so much, I can’t even tell who my favorite is yet. I loved Kai (Michael was just okay) but I have the biggest soft spot for sadbois who need redemptions. I just want to give Will and Damon the biggest hugs.

Was not a fan of the audiobook. The male narrator was okay but I could not vibe with the female voice actor. She spoke like she was in a race. I usually put my speed between 2-2.5x and I had to lower it for her parts. Girly was fighting for her life every sentence running out of breath.
