3.5

Under increased pressure following the events of the first book, increased stagnancy at work, and a death in the family, Ronnie takes leave to go back home and face her past. This isn’t necessary to read for the overall storyline, but we do get glimpses of Nichelle and Kendra as well. Super disappointed that there wasn’t any real progress but it was still an enjoyable read since Ronnie is an interesting antagonist.
