Someone rec'd this again recently so I thought I'd try it, but got less than 30 pages in and remembered that this is a book about a biracial character affected by internalized racism as inflicted by a white parent, but not written by a biracial author. A bookstagrammer I respect, who is biracial, posted a reel about why this shouldn't be this author's story to tell and I want to respect her feelings and opinion on the matter so I'm not going to keep reading even though the fat rep already seemed interesting.
