Good ideas better brought to life by latter authors, as here they were awfully executed. Like, genuinely unredeemable. Nothing works for me in this story: nor the characters, nor the writing, not even the vaguely implied plot. But you can appreciate its background and inspired influences well enough. As a reading experience however it felt rather flat.
