This was a reread, but I loved it just as much, if not more than the first time. I read it aloud to my daughter and it was such a joy to see her fall in love with Anne and everyone in Avonlea. I hadn’t read this book since becoming a parent and there are parts of this book that just hit you differently. Marilla crying herself to sleep, because she realizes that the little girl Anne is gone is one such moment. Anyway, this book is just a ray of sunshine and I love it wholeheartedly!
