The Ultimate Betrayal by Kimberla Lawson Roby

4.0

These epic epilogues have me howling!! Alicia should have simply left Philip alone! That could have been avoided easily. Melanie's problems were a bit much but she also seems to stick to her guns on a situation more than Alicia ever did. The friendship, I am guessing withstood the issues because there wasn't any betrayal between the two but more so with their spouses. Alicia does not come across as innocent to me at all. There is nothing she does that would make me feel sympathetic towards her. However, the family should have been okay with her not wanting Philip but she shouldn't of took everyone on a emotional rollercoaster with that man. The Black family did not have the audacity to treat her like that towards the end because out of all the dirt Curtis brought on himself and the family, I would say they were paying for his sins as well. This story shows that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree and oh well they have their own lives but they act just like their father as I have always said in every update and review. I did like how we got to follow along with the life of a friend Melanie but I wish there was more justice for her in the end.
