This could have been so cool.
Instead it turned from a cool mystery of why Death abandoned his job, to a murder mystery to a romance novel. And I wasn’t a fan of the switch mid book.
I didn’t like Death. He was too sweet, not mysterious, not dark. I didn’t get it. And I also didn’t like it.
Marcel was a good character and I was rooting for him.
It was an okay book, ultimately very predictable with a tiny bit of an identity crisis
