Hunt Monsters, Do Magic, and Fall in Love: a contemporary fantasy triptych by A.M. Weald

Fantasy isn’t my genre, so this may be a first for me. But I absolutely adored the author’s earlier release this year, so I’m giving it a shot. This was a quick and interesting read, just what I’m looking for currently. Not too heavy or long. And having these 3 interconnected novellas - and interconnected in interesting ways was just the ticket. The middle story - the maiden and the Liar- felt unfinished. I would have liked to see Poe and Liam as they reconnected. But that’s me wanting a second chance romance, not sure what their fantasy storyline would have been. I would recommend this for someone looking for a short, Christmas-adjacent read. The romance isn’t too romancey and the fantasy isn’t too fantastical. Just right.
