All about Me: My Remarkable Life in Show Business by Mel Brooks
3.0
Definitely listen to this book and hear Mel Brooks's intonations and laughter and almost tears. I loved all the behind the scenes and making of one of my favorite films "Young Frankenstein." His dogged pursuit to make the films he wants to make (only in black and white, completely silent, etc) is inspiring. I also really enjoyed hearing exactly what it was about David Lynch that Mel was so drawn to. This memoir does fall into the usual traps of too much detail about who is having business meetings with who, and his worship of Alfred Hitchcock is a bit hard to take, knowing what a sexual predator he was, but overall a really fun listen.
