although this book did take me a while to get through, the plot was interesting and I did enjoy it. however, the third-person omniscient point of view confused me at times and i really just wanted to dive deeper into Toby’s thoughts and feelings, rather than hearing it from an outsider.

a good read, nonetheless :)
