Extremely impactful stream of consciousness novel of a woman of colour's experiences in the UK, in work, and in relationships.  It is beautifully written, lyrical, and poetic yet raw and desperate.  Covering incidents of microaggressions to full-on hateful racism.  It eloquently expresses the political and cultural impact of colonialism and the British experience.  It is wrapped up in a feeling of complicity, impostor syndrome, and tiredness of fighting always fighting.
