The main themes of this book are urban blight, crimes against the impoverished, rampant misogyny, child molestation, crimes against the homosexual, and the utter lack of attention by anyone who could do something about any of it. If you are in any way sensitive to these themes, do not try to read any of these books. It was the 1970s. The fall of the post-war era.
