I think a lot of this very intelligent book went over my head - mainly the bits about real-life people like Christine Keeler and Pauline Boty. The writing was beautiful, though, and so worth the read. If you want things neatly tied up at the end of a book, this one is not for you. I am still wondering who Gluck is and don't event fully understand what Elisabeth's life is like. Very contemplative and poetic book, but not so deep or obscured by the language that I didn't get the story. Kind of comforting.
