His Slender Embrace by Amanda Meuwissen

5.0

I really like Amanda Meuwissen's work. This is not the first book of hers that I have read.
I actually started this series with His Slender Embrace, and then realized there were MORE in the Monster Match universe, so I went back and started at the beginning. While technically not necessary, reading from book one (Threading Carefully) definitely gave me context to a lot of conversations and characters in this book.
Slender man romance? What. OKAY. I'm in. *not that it takes much to get me to read a monster novel*
But still. Not the usual choice of monster for a romance right?!

OH MY GOD CAEL
He was so well spoken and he just wanted some love. True romance, not just fuckin.
I loved his inner dialogue. It was so insightful and I thought it was so cool how he was older than the universe itself. And how he was cousins with Nox. Which polar opposites made for some fun conversations.
He was a thoughtful, kind hearted, tender, slender

Anyway I loved the premise, I loved the characters. This is turning out to be one of my favorite "series"/anthologies to date.
