I have always thought Stephen King was a great storyteller.
This book is different from most of his others since it's historical with a science fiction/time travel element. It's not too scientific and fairly easy to keep up with even if you don't like science fiction.
The first half of the book is more character-focused, which I really enjoyed. The time spent in the town of Jodie was my favorite - the characters, the pacing, the quaint life. The second half was more plot-focused and historical, which the book needed, but I didn't enjoy quite as much.
The story was captivating and interesting, and I recommend it.
