Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East by Rashid Khalidi

3.0

Overall Khalidi proved his point well throughout the book that the U.S. has been biased in its position as an "honest broker" between Israel and Palestine and has therefore been an impediment to peace instead of a help. I had some issues with points in his argument and limiting the scope of such a complex issue necessitates leaving a great deal out. However his thesis was clear and he argued it well. I particularly think his conclusion was well articulated and his thoughts on how peace could and should be reached had the ring of practicality and fairness to it.
